Hello Kitty Cake

This is my first fondant cake which I gave to my niece Natasha again just like I did with her R2D2 cake.

The only thing is that the R2D2 cake was for her birthday and this one I just gave to her arbitrarily as a gift.

It is really a very small cake done with a single box of flour cause it was not a birthday cake. The bottom one is about 7.5 inches in diameter only.

All the decoration is made of fondant except for the two palm tree leave stems holding the fondant stars (I spray painted those white).

My family loved the cake specially mi niece Natasha so I was very happy about that.

With a little bit more practice I'm sure that I could do a character much better than I did this Hello Kitty cause for a second pass at a fondant cake I would use some metal wire inside the figure to prevent it from deforming (her body squashed a little) but we were very happy with how the cake looked overall.

The reddish color is really somewhat off in the photos. The real color was more like fuchsia pink and it looked very beautiful.
